HYPERICUM OIL
About this preparation it could be said that it is a true helth treatment.
The hyperic oil, called also Oil of Saint Giovanni, was always known for its excellent properties if used on burns, but it is not able of this, only: it can help against articular pains, it is an optimal turning white for the spots of the skin, it gives excellent results in the psoriasis treatment, it is exceptional used on hair, and still, used on the body it makes the skin like velvet and very hydrated. Finally it is an optimal allied in order to fight the aging since stimulates cellular regeneration and in fact this is the reason of its effectiveness against burns.
There are many legends around iperico oil where is stirred sacred and profane but we want to emphasize that the important is to adhere scrupulously to ancient small rules in order to obtain a truly effective product.
The prescription that I use in the preparation has been taught me by one my friend, that by now boasts the age of 98 years. She learned it from her grandmother etc... Well, it is an ancient procedure of hundreds of years and I can guarantee to you that he is absolutely effective.
The more important phase is the collection of the iperico flowers, that must be made on the 24th of june, on lands far from the traffic and situates in free from pollution areas. The E.COS farm is found exactly on the tosco-emiliano Appennino, where never it has been practiced intensive cultivation and therefore never they have been used synthesis fertilizers or other chemical products for agriculture.
About me, the preparation of the iperico oil, every year, is nearly one ceremony.
The binding technique is fundamental in order to succeed to withhold all the energy that this plant encloses in. I collect flower after flower, with the hands, being always careful not to ruin the plant, therefore I recommend: if you think to make it, not torn with haste and force but let your hands collect sweetly and with patience, like if they were playing an instrument, with which to obtain a sweet melody you will be involved by. I put the still fresh flowers in great glass containers and I cover them with oil. I use those same large bottles with which they make the demijohn. These bottles must be left under the sun, on the warm earth, sometimes they must be jolt in order to mix the content. I wait with anxiety for 20 days and finally I filter and control the quality, that every year never does disappoint my expectations.
The oil that is obtained is limpid, light red and it has a characteristic scent.
I just get far from the prescription taught to me in this point: instead of covering the flowers with olive oil I use soia bean oil, otherwise I would have as final result a heavy, little hydrating, little absorbable from skin and easy degradable oil. Therefore we would lose great part of the force that the flowers, during the maceration, transfer to our oil. Using the soia bean oil I obtain a product without expiration date and able of all the performances that I have listed in the opening.
I'd like to talk about the positive feelings I get from this preparation of mine but I think that these could perhaps be exchanged for fantasies of ancient traditions and maybe it will be the case that I keep them for me.
